Biography
Leroy Ireland (1889–1970) was an American painter and art dealer. Born on December 24, 1889, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and continued his studies in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. Ireland is known primarily for his still-life paintings, often signed with his artist signature.
He also conducted research on the works of landscape painter George Inness, culminating in a catalogue raisonne of his work.
