Biography
Howard Taft Lorenz (1905–1956) was an American painter who worked as a WPA artist. He created exceptional paintings, one example being 'Happy Birthday Gramma' (1939), which is described as an 'incomparable burlesque extravaganza of oddity'. His artwork often featured satirical characters and has been exhibited in museums worldwide.
