Biography
Frank Cassara (1913–1971) was an American painter and printmaker. Born on March 17, 1913, in Partinico, Italy, he later became a naturalized citizen of the United States. Cassara is known for his work as an artist and educator, and he innovated two white grounds for etching. His artistic career spanned multiple exhibitions, earning him over 50 awards.
He served with the United States Army from 1942 to 1946 and was a member of the Ann Arbor Art Association, where he held positions such as past president and director.
