Biography
Carl Wuermer (1900–1983) was an American painter who immigrated to Chicago, Illinois at the age of fifteen. He became a citizen and went on to become a widely exhibited painter known for serene, realistic landscapes. His work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the J. Francis Murphy Memorial Prize from the National Academy of Design in 1928.
