Stuart Carson Edie

Stuart Carson Edie (1908–1974) was an American painter known for his modernist landscape, still life, and figure paintings. He studied with Thomas Hart Benton at the Kansas City Art Institute and later attended the Art Students League in New York. Edie was a member of the Woodstock, NY Artists Colony and briefly taught at the American Artists School.

His work includes oil on canvas pieces, such as his 1961 geometric abstract signed en verso.
