George Henry Melcher

George Henry Melcher (1881–1957) was an American painter born in Germantown, Pennsylvania on November 16, 1881. The son of a sculptor, he began drawing at an early age and started studying painting under a private teacher at the age of 12. He became a highly esteemed artist, with his works exhibited in California, including the Los Angeles County Museum, as well as in museums and galleries in Pennsylvania.
