Arthur Clifton Goodwin (1864–1929) was an American painter born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Following his father's death, he moved with his mother to Chelsea, Massachusetts around 1872. He developed a reputation as a master of impressionist cityscapes, particularly for his sensitive and plein-air depictions of urban Boston.

Goodwin's work often captured the subtle nuances of light and color, creating a harmony between the built environment and nature. His artist signature is characterized by its ability to evoke the spirit of early twentieth-century cities such as Boston and New York City.
