Ruth Bobbs Pratt

Ruth Pratt Bobbs (1884–1973) was an American painter known for her portrait paintings. Born on September 3, 1884, in Indianapolis to Julius Fisher Pratt and Mary Ann Smith Pratt, she began her art training at the age of eight when her mother took her to Saturday art school. After her parents' death at sixteen, Bobbs continued her studies abroad, first at the Académie Julian in Paris and later at the Art Students League in New York.

Her work is characterized by its attention to detail and realistic style, with an artist signature that reflects her technical skill.
