Biography

E. Gould Chalker (1909–1979) was an American painter who studied at Hamilton College, Art Students League, and Grand Central School of Art. He also received instruction from Arshile Gorky. Chalker's work is characterized by his use of oil on masonite and canvas mounted on board. His artist signature can be found on many of his pieces, including 'Spring Flowers' (1979) and 'Starers' (1968).

In 1946, he helped to found the Essex Art Association.
