Biography
Howard Barclay French (1906–1987) was an American painter. He was born in Kentucky and moved to New Jersey at a young age. French studied at the Art Students' League in New York City, where his wife Edith Gilman Parsons also studied. The couple married in 1937. As an artist, French is known for his marine paintings, which were often featured on the covers of Yachting magazine.
