John Baldwin

John Baldwin (1922–1987) was an American painter who built his paintings up in glazes of colour, evocatively capturing light and form. He had a prolific exhibition career with at least thirty-six one-person exhibits, two joint exhibits with his wife Ruth Baldwin, and forty-five competitive group exhibits.

In addition to creating art, Baldwin taught sculpture from 1956 until his death in 1987 at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio.
