William Burford

William B. Burford (1846–1927) was an American painter and engraver who began his career as a printer at the age of 15 in Indianapolis, where he worked for his brother-in-law's office. He returned to Missouri in 1863 to join the state militia's cavalry, fighting against guerrillas until the end of the Civil War.

Burford's artistic work is documented through public domain artworks available on Artvee, and he was mentioned as a potential supporter by Theodore Roosevelt during an election. Unfortunately, there is limited information available about his artistic style or techniques.
