Biography
Stanford Fenelle (1909–1995) was an American painter whose career spanned over sixty years. Born on June 12, 1909, in Minneapolis to immigrant parents Alban and Herminne Fenelle, he began his artistic journey in seventh grade under the encouragement of a perceptive teacher. Fenelle honed his artistic expertise with little interruption for more than sixty years, resulting in a prolific legacy of diverse style, vision, color, and principled technique.
His artwork featured landscape paintings of churches, farms, small towns, and cities of the Midwest, mostly Minnesota.
