Biography
Bruce Mitchell (1908–1963) was an American painter known for his work in the Musician genre, specifically jazz painting. He was a recipient of several prestigious fellowships, including Tiffany, Yaddo, and Guggenheim fellowships. Mitchell also received first prize at the Wyoming Valley Art League in 1961.
In addition to his artistic achievements, he was a member of the American Watercolor Society.
