Steve Wheeler

Steve Wheeler (1912–1992) was an American painter born in Czechoslovakia. He immigrated to Western Pennsylvania with his family at a young age and grew up working in the mines, as did his father. Wheeler studied art at The Art Institute of Chicago in 1931. His work includes pieces such as 'The Messenger' (1942), which features an artist signature and tempera on paper.

Little is known about his artistic style or movement beyond his American nationality.
