Biography
Alvin Ross (1920–1975) was an American painter who was born in Vineland, New Jersey. He graduated from the Tyler School of Arts, Temple University, Philadelphia in 1944 and also studied at the Barnes Foundation in Merion, Pennsylvania. After completing his studies, he moved to New York City where he continued his artistic development.
Ross's work was influenced by artists such as Hartley and de Chirico, and he is notable for being a realist painter during the peak of Abstract Expressionism. His artwork has been sold at auction, with prices ranging from $45 USD to $9,450 USD.
