Joseph Newman

Joseph Newman (1890–1979) was an American painter born in New York City. He attended both Pratt Institute and Adelphi College Art School before serving in World War I for the U.S. Army. Upon his return to New York in the mid-1920s, he established the Fifteen Gallery with several other artists.
