Biography
John Barber (1898–1965) was an American painter and artist. Born in Galatz, Romania, he emigrated to the United States with his family in 1908. He studied at the National Academy of Design in 1909 and at the Ferrer Center School with Robert Henri. As a modernist painter, Barber depicted scenes of daily life, leaving behind an artistic legacy through his works.
